• Specialist: Review of construction procedures contributes to reducing financial waste

    Asharqia Chamber organized a lecture, among the activities and programs of the Contracting Committee, that is entitled "Basic Concepts Before Building Your House," which talked about bout common mistakes that some people make when building a home, including design, demographics and architecture.

     

    The member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Committee, Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Hammad, said that the lecture comes within the efforts of the work of the Contracting Committee and its activities for 2019 in order to raise the awareness of the contractors, architects and all individuals who are coming to build their houses with the basic concepts of building, requirements and steps necessary before, during and after the construction process, as one of the most important factors for achieving quality and sustainability.

    He explained that many of the initiatives and programs of quality and awareness put forward by our wise government to provide a balanced and sustainable housing environment, which contributed to the organization of the sector and increase the awareness of individuals of the importance of obtaining new houses without risk, which is in line with the objectives and aspirations of the Vision of the Kingdom of 2030 that is promoting sustainable buildings and improving citizens' lifestyles.

    Al-Hammad pointed out that the lecture represents a valuable opportunity for the parties to the relationship to know whether the architects, contractors or the next to build houses on these basic concepts that must be increased awareness, thinking and taking into account before starting the construction because with their good knowledge, individuals can get the houses they want to live in according to the specifications they were hoping for.

     

    For his part, Dr. Sameer Akbar, a specialist in urban construction, stressed the importance of ensuring the construction procedures in order to achieve the best results both in terms of safety of implementation and materials used or in terms of reducing the waste of money in the maintenance of frequent.

    He pointed out that one of the most common mistakes when building the house are lost spaces that raise the cost of construction without interest.

    He pointed to a very important issue related to the strength of soil, which is the norm in determining the type of rules that will be established under the structure.
